Voter Fraud Arrest stems from Crow Wing Co. ‘24 General Election

By: Alex Evans

NISSWA, Minn. – A Wadena County man used a Crow Wing County address to register and vote in the 2024 General Election, deputies claim.

In early June, Crow Wing County authorities put out a warrant for a man accused of fraudulently voting in the 2024 General Election. According to court documents, Adam Robert Hageman, 45, of Wadena County, allegedly “registered to vote and voted in the 2024 General Election using” an address on County Road 13, in Nisswa, Crow Wing County. A “postal verification letter” was sent to the address by Crow Wing County Elections, which is how the alleged fraud was initially discovered.

The current owner of the property called the county and reported they have “resided at the address for over 6 years and [do] not know” Hageman. Deputies wrote in the complaint that they believed Hageman “did not, and does not, reside at the address provided when [Hageman] registered to vote and voted.”

Hageman reportedly lives on Garfield Avenue SW in Wadena, Wadena County, “which is outside the precinct Defendant Registered to Vote and Voted in on 11/5/2024,” according to the complaint.

Crow Wing County Jail records showed that Hageman was booked into the jail at 11:12 a.m., about 74 days after the warrant for his arrest was issued. Hageman is charged with two felony counts of registering an ineligible voter and unlawful voting. He could face a maximum possible sentence of 10 years in prison.
